在沒人看好的情況下，Dodgers硬是讓Cubs再度wait 'til next year，其實Dodgers贏得並不輕鬆，首戰靠"Unclutch"的Loney一棒打破落後局面；次戰或許真是天意，守備評價不差(團隊Defensive Efficiency .705，今年僅次於Rays)的Cubs內野先後失誤，最終造成Martin清壘二壘安打的大局，即便是Carlos Zambrano這種大物投手也得大嘆時不我與；最後回到主場的Dodgers更是靠堅強的投手戰力將Cubs掃回家。
相較打者莫名其妙的clutch，投手方面Dodgers並沒有出什麼比較嚴重的意外和調度失誤，比較讓人意外的是宣稱讓Saito回到closer工作的Torre竟然沒讓Saito在第三戰最後出賽，反讓狀況好的Wade和Broxton關門，他們也將工作做得很好。我比較不喜歡的地方只有Torre最近太操Wade了點，其實第二戰應該沒有必要用他上場(Broxton也同樣太操，但他的第二戰就算了...當時他得救Saito)。
